Is there a fourth Rush Hour in the works? The internet seems to think so.
Over the weekend, Chris Tucker took to Instagram and shared a photo showing his reunion with his 65-year-old co-star Jackie Chan. But while no caption was featured with the photo, the two were seen arms around each other and holding up the number four, creating a huge debate as to if the film is finally coming to fruition.
The franchise's previous installment, Rush Hour 3, which opened in theatres almost 12 years ago, tells the story of a popular cop duo Chief Inspector Lee and Detective James Carter. The first movie in the franchise came out in 1998, with the second movie hitting the theatres in 2001 followed by a third movie in 2007.
In late January, Tucker revealed that Rush Hour 4 was in the works.
“It’s not in pre-production. We’re working on a few things [for] the script. Jackie wants to do it. I want to do it. The studio wants to do it,” he said in an interview on the Winging It podcast.
“We’re trying to get it together. It looks like it’s getting together right,” Tucker had said.
